Mission Statement
The members of the Sebago Alliance are acutely aware of the increasing demands on public schools and the costs associated with meeting many of those demands. Further, the Alliance is cognizant of the voices being raised from across Maine desirous of redesigning and reconfiguring public school districts and governance in the State as a means of meeting the demands of educating the State’s young people in an educationally sound and fiscally responsible manner. We believe that the mission of the Sebago Alliance and the subsequent initiatives, projects, and programs that will be designed and implemented by its members, represents a thoughtful and substantive response to these sentiments as they are being expressed within schools in Maine, by professional educators, and externally by the general citizenry
throughout our communities and legislative bodies.
